Confession time: I'm a total holiday fiend!
Christmas, Halloween – the classics, of course. But I also get giddy for Valentine's Day, St. Patrick's Day, New Year's Eve, 4th of July... heck, even Cinco de Mayo! (Yes, I know it's not exactly my heritage according to Ancestry.com, but who doesn't love margaritas and tacos?) 🇲🇽
Speaking of Cinco de Mayo, most people probably couldn't tell you why we celebrate it! (History lesson alert: Mexico beat the French in a crazy battle back in 1862. Go General Zaragoza!)
But for me, Cinco de Mayo is all about the good times: good food, good drinks, good vibes. Growing up in Jersey, my "tacos" were ground beef and crunchy shells. Then I moved to Arizona – and let me tell you, it was a life-changing taco revelation!
Since then, I've fallen head over heels for Mexican culture. The laid-back attitude, the incredible food scene... it's all sunshine and smiles. My first trip after high school graduation totally changed my life! ☀️🇲🇽
